Unknown Conditions

Unknown Condition

A lot of patients come in without knowing what the condition they’re suffering from is. If you’re one of them, don’t worry because our team of medical professionals and doctors will go over your symptoms and history to help identify it.

Women’s Conditions

Bacterial Vaginosis & Vaginitis

Vaginas are home to micro-organisms, including certain healthy bacteria. But when there is an increase in the production of these bacteria, it causes bacterial vaginosis and vaginitis (BV), both of which are common conditions. These conditions may also be responsible for causing excessive or abnormal vaginal discharge, a fishy smell that is more noticeable after intercourse and during menstruation.

Birth Control

Oral contraception (birth control) offers women a preventive measure against unplanned pregnancy; however, unlike condoms (male contraceptives), it does not protect against STDs, STIs, or HIV. This type of oral contraception is not recommended for women with a history of blood clots because they may include cardiovascular side-effects or for women who smoke.

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) – Women

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an incredibly common condition. It’s caused when bacteria from the urethra reach the bladder and cause an infection. For this reason, it’s also known as a bladder infection or cystitis. UTIs affect some women more than others, especially those with shorter urethras.

We are unable to treat patients with severe symptoms and indicators of a progressively spreading infection, including fever, debilitating pain, vomiting, and other signs. We also recommend that expecting and nursing mothers and those with preexisting kidney or bladder conditions also seek more specialized in-person treatment or emergency care.

Vaginal Yeast Infection

The vagina is incredibly complex, but overproduction of a fungus known as fungus candida at the opening of or inside the vagina can lead to yeast infections. Yeast infections are incredibly common, and symptoms typically include inflammation and irritation of the vulva, itching, and thick, white, unusual discharge that resembles cottage cheese.

While we do not require testing prior to the treatment, we do recommend that our patients get tested in case treatment is not effective. All of our consultation and treatment services are completely confidential.

Men’s Conditions

Epididymitis in Men

The epididymis is a coiled tube found behind your testicles; it’s prone to infections and inflammation, which can be quite painful and have many long-and short-term effects. Almost always due to a bacterial infection, signs and symptoms generally include abdominal and scrotal pain and inflammation, pain with urination, and discharge from the urethra.

Testing prior to starting treatment is not necessary, however, we recommend that our patients opt for a test in case treatment is not effective. All of our consultations and treatments are kept fully confidential.

Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition wherein a man is unable to achieve or maintain an erection for the duration of sexual intercourse. ED can be attributed to multiple physiological and psychological causes, including low testosterone levels, untreated depression, drug and alcohol use, specific prescription medications, and various health conditions, including diabetes. Treating ED may require your healthcare provider to address these concerns and deep-rooted issues; however, we only treat ED in patients over the age of 25.

Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation (PE) is a relatively common health condition that results in difficulty or inability to prevent or delay the release of semen during sexual intercourse. Typically, for it to be categorized as PE, the release of seminal fluid must be within one minute of sexual activity. Occasional PE is also common, and isn’t necessarily a cause for concern, but when chronic PE occurs, it requires professional medical treatment and intervention. As a condition it is easy to treat, so long as a patient is over the age of 25.

PE and erectile dysfunction (ED) tend to present simultaneously, making treatment for both necessary, especially in the use of prescription treatments as a recommended course of action. Visit our services page, select erectile dysfunction and get redirected to PE.

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) – Men

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is a fairly common condition which occurs due to bacteria found in the urethra, making its way to the bladder. It’s often termed as a bladder infection or known as cystitis and tends to affect women more than men, but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

However, we are unable to treat patients who have more serious, severe symptoms, such as fever, excruciating pain, vomiting, and other indications of a rapidly progressing infection. Patients with preexisting kidney problems or bladder conditions will require more specialized care and treatment or opt for urgent care clinics and hospitals.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Chlamydia

Chlamydia also presents in similar ways to gonorrhea in that it can present with symptoms such as inflammation, painful or burning sensation during urination, white, yellow or green discharge.

While testing is not a prerequisite to treatment, it is recommended that patients get tested in order to check for the effectiveness of the treatment. We ensure confidentiality for all our consultation and treatment services.

Genital Herpes

The second stage, is where syphilis develops into a rash or more ulcers and sores which are found on the bottms of your feet or palms. The third stage may take several years to develop, and present years after the condition is contracted, but tends to be damaging to health. It requires immediate intervention and treatment.

While testing is not a prerequisite to treatment, it is recommended that patients get tested in order to check for effectiveness of the treatment. We ensure confidentiality for all our consultation and treatment services.

Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis vaginalis is a sexually transmitted parasitic infection caused by the protozoan known as trichomonas vaginalis. As one of the most common STIs in the United States, it affects men and women differently. With women symptoms including yellow, bloody, frothy abnormal vaginal, vaginal itching, pain in the lower abdomen and during sexual intercourse. On the other hand, men tend to be asymptomatic but some may present with penile itching.
